Engine cell test benches

CERTAM is equipped with many test facilities including 7 wide engine cell tests which may host foreign experimental system and allow dynamic investigation protocols.

For the security, each test bench is equipped with fire sensors (flames, fumes), fuel fumes sensors and automatic fire extinguishing system based on FM200 gas.

(c) CERTAM 3 Monocylinder test benches with DC machines:

  • 40kW, 120Nm max torque, 4000rpm max
  • 59kW, 232Nm and 4000rpm without multiplier; 155Nm and 6000rpm with multiplier
  • 52kW, 161Nm max torque, 4000rpm max
Dedicated to experimental opaque or transparent engines.

(c) CERTAM 4 multicylinder test benches:

  • Asynchronous Dynamic dynamometer Schorch: up to 300kW and 700Nm, 10000rpm max
  • Asynchronous Dynamic dynamometer ELIN: up to 220kW and 500Nm, 10000rpm max
  • Asynchronous Dynamic dynamometer ELIN: up to 130kW and 500Nm,10000rpm max
  • Asynchronous Dynamic dynamometer ELIN: up to 120kW and 300Nm, 8000rpm max
5 cell test benches are equipped today with AVL Fast Data Logging system
