Onboard air quality measurement

CERTAM has developed a mobile laboratory to measure particulate and gaseous pollutants whose car drivers and passengers are exposed to.

This tool allows to have a better estimation of population budget exposure as well as professionals of transport (taxi and bus driver, trucks and HGV driver) and is complementary with given informations by air quality monitoring networks about near road trafic pollution levels.

This is major contribution to a better knowledge of vehicle indoor air quality.

The mobile laboratory is a light air-conditioned SUV equipped with several analyzers:

GPS tracking and real-time video acquisition

Particle size and concentration measurement, Black Smoke Index: CNC, ELPI aerosol sizing, real-time estimation of particle mass concentration
Gaseous pollutants measurements: NO, NO2, Ozone, SO2,...
