Indoor & outdoor measurement

Public exposure

(c) CERTAMP ublic exposure is regulated through a whole set of standards which impose top levels not to be exceeded, alert thresholds or recommendations for the main environnemental pollutants. At a national scale, air quality monitoring networks (AASQA) ensure that air quality law is respected. The main monitored pollutants are SO2,total nitric oxide (NOx), ozone (O3) and particulate matter (mass concentration PM10).

However, some particular cases require deeper investigations:

(c) CERTAM
  • Exposure near pollution source or in under- or non-ventilated environement
  • Unregulated pollutants
  • Particulate matter toxicological approach (aerosol sizing and counting)

Professional environment

(c) CERTAM CERTAM has been becoming an expert into the fields of professional environment caracterisation, especially in aerosol exposure.

CERTAM deals with numerous measurement techniques which allow our clients to know precisely the particle exposure levels so as to compare them to the current legislation .

These advanced techniques also allow to unveil some unregulated aspects through the particle number and particle size measurement in order to optimize the treatment of these nuisances.

Closed spaces

(c) CERTAM Confined or semi-confined spaces may be caracterised with a non-efficient ventilation but also through the presence of walls and roofs which obstruct the good pollutant dispersion.

Pollutants levels are usually widely higher to those measured outside, especially when the pollutant source is inside :

(c) CERTAM
  • Road tunnel
  • underground rail transport (metro)
  • local housing (mobile combustion heating apparatus, kitchen, smoke,...)

Environmental measurements

(c) CERTAM The complementarity of our several metrologic methods (aerosol sizer, particle counters, gas analyzer...) makes CERTAM the ideal partner to conduct multi-pollutants environmental studies, especially in collaboration with air quality monitoring networks.

Transdisciplinary studies

(c) CERTAM For transdisciplinary studies, we can rely on a strong skills network which gathers chemists, dispersion specialists and biologists within national or european collaboration.
